Birds of prey land at Green Tree Court

Majestic and intelligent, the stunning birds from Exeter’s New Heights Falconry made quite an impression when they swooped in for a visit recently. Residents had the chance to hold these impressive birds of prey during this more unusual experience.
Merle Weiner, Green Tree Court’s Head of Activities, commented: “We thoroughly enjoyed getting hands on with these extraordinary birds. It was something a bit different to usual and the perfect way to engage our residents in an interactive experience. The birds were very friendly and calm, and it was a real thrill to see these beautiful and impressive creatures so close up.”

At Green Tree Court, we organise a wide variety of different activities and events to appeal to all our residents, whatever their individual preferences.  Bringing animals into our nursing home has a wide range of therapeutic effects from encouraging residents to stay alert and active to reawakening memories, and giving us all something to chat about. We regularly invite animals, from trained therapy dogs and donkeys to llamas, to pop in and say hello.
